Materials:  Aluminum
Dimensions: 13’ X 6’ X 6’
Cost:  $22,500

Hill Climb features five aluminum bike riders climbing a steep 13 foot incline in a race to the finish line.  It is a perfect theme for Roswell as we were Georgia’s first “Bicycle Friendly Community” with amenities that include mountain biking trails, cycling events and miles and miles of bike paths. The artist’s sculpture style has been characterized by the use of silhouettes of people and animals constructed of stainless steel, aluminum and other metals.

Primarily a Public Art sculptor, Jim Collins sculpture style uses silhouette figures constructed of stainless steel, brass and painted steel. Collins (born in Huntington WV) was a Professor of Art at the University of Tennessee from 1966 until 1983 when he resigned that teaching position to devote himself full time to his career as a professional artist.
